Taken at a recent flying day at the Shuttleworth Collection, a contingent of the Great    War Society provide a guard detail fro this SE5a, amongst others.

The top 'photo is a distant view of the Shuttleworth Avro Triplane IV, which is a     reproduction of the 1909 design for the film "Those Magnificent Men in Their Flying    Machines". The bottom 2 photographs are of an Officer's and an Other Ranks RFC    "Maternity Jacket" uniform, also held in the Shuttleworth Collection.

This ariel reconnaissance photograph was taken above the village of Passchendaele on    the 3rd September 1917, a month after the start of the offensive.
